What We Look For: Tutor Requirements

To ensure our students receive the highest quality of education, we maintain strict hiring standards. We are looking for applicants who meet the following criteria:

  • Qualifications:
    You must be a qualified teacher, trainee teacher, university graduate, or a current university student.
  • Child Safety clearances:
    A valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) or Blue Card is mandatory. You must also read and strictly abide by our Child Safe Environments Policy and Code of Conduct.
  • Technical Requirements:
    For online tutoring, you must have a quiet space to conduct lessons with reliable, fast internet. You must also own your own digital devices, such as a laptop or PC and headsets.
  • Professionalism:
    Excellent communication skills and a good command of the English language are essential. You must be able to work without supervision, be highly punctual, and maintain excellent personal presentation.

The Role of the Tutor

Our primary objective is to teach and consolidate the necessary skills and strategies that will empower students’ learning.

Subjects We Cover:
Tutors must be able to tutor either English or Maths from Year 2 to Year 12. We also highly value tutors who can teach additional subjects, including Physics, Chemistry, Biology, History, Economics, Legal Studies, and Business Studies.

Your 3 Key Objectives:
As a tutor, you are expected to develop three key areas of student performance:

  1. Student Achievement:
    Fostering a deep understanding within their specific subject area.
  2. Student Confidence:
    Building their belief that they can achieve their academic goals.
  3. Study Skills:
    Helping students apply their knowledge to complex tasks for true academic excellence.
